Casa Serena is much more than a simple accommodation establishment for dependent elderly people. It is, above all, a home — a living place where every resident is welcomed with kindness and supported with professionalism. Located in the heart of Propriano in southern Corsica, our medicalised residence offers an exceptional living environment, combining the gentleness of the Mediterranean climate with the proximity of local shops and life.
Since its inception, Casa Serena has been built around a strong conviction — that every elderly person deserves support that respects their identity, their history and their choices. Our establishment project is grounded in the values of respect, bientreatment, dialogue and the preservation of autonomy. These values are not just words — they translate concretely into our organisation, our care practices and the daily life of the residence.
Casa Serena is intended to evolve and open up to new forms of care. Beyond permanent and temporary accommodation for the elderly, the establishment is gradually developing new activities open to a wider public. In this dynamic, Casa Serena is specialising its care for residents affected by neurodegenerative diseases (ND) with the opening of an Adapted Living Unit (UVA, 10 places) and a Pole of Adapted Activities and Care (PASA, 12 places). The establishment is also developing a Territorial Resource Centre (CRT) project, for reinforced coordination at the service of elderly people in the territory of the Community of Communes, supporting home care with a Territorialised Prevention Team. Application submitted in February 2026 to the ARS of Corsica. Also planned: a Day Care for the elderly (6 places) and a Respite Platform supporting family carers.
